Seat Leon >> Seat belt buckled indication
Lights up red
This visual alert indicates that the driver or at least one of the vehicle passengers has not fastened their safety belt.
The dedicated control lamp
lights up to remind the driver to buckle up before setting off.
Before starting your journey in the Seat Leon:
- Fasten your safety belt securely across your lap and shoulder.
- Instruct all passengers to buckle up properly before moving off.
- Protect infant and child passengers by using an approved child safety seat matched to their height and weight.
Fig. 19 Instrument cluster: indication of the
status of the rear seat seat belts.
When the vehicle ignition is switched on, the seatbelt status graphic on the instrument cluster display ››› Fig. 19 informs the driver instantly whether all rear seat occupants have their safety belts fastened.
Depending on seat occupancy and individual belt status, each seating position on the display illuminates in a distinct color code:
A white light indicates that the corresponding seat position is currently unoccupied.
A green light indicates that the seat's occupant is wearing their seat belt correctly.
A red light indicates that the seat is occupied and the passenger or driver is not wearing the required seat belt.
If the vehicle exceeds a speed of 25 km/h (15 mph) after moving off without the driver or front passenger seat belt being fastened, or if a buckle is released while driving, an audible acoustic warning signal will sound continuously for 126 seconds. Additionally, the corresponding warning lamp on the instrument cluster screen will flash. All alerts are designed to ensure safety in your Seat Leon.
The warning lamp
automatically goes out once the ignition is on and all occupants have securely fastened their seat belts.
