Seat Leon >> Fluids and consumables
Introduction
All automotive operating fluids and consumable products—such as engine coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and vehicle batteries—are subject to continuous engineering development and stringent quality standards. For this reason, whenever a specific fluid or consumable needs to be topped up or replaced on your Seat Leon, please consult and acquire the correct products through a qualified specialist workshop.
WARNING Using unsuitable, unapproved, or misidentified operating fluids and consumables, or handling them improperly, can lead to dangerous traffic accidents, severe physical injuries, chemical burns, and life-threatening poisoning.
- Always store operating fluids exclusively in their original factory containers, kept tightly closed when not in use.
- Never store automotive operating fluids in empty food cans, beverage bottles, or other unlabelled containers, as someone might accidentally mistake them for food or drink and ingest them.
- Keep all vehicle fluids, chemicals, and consumables strictly out of reach of children and pets.
- Always read, understand, and carefully observe all safety information, instructions, and warning pictograms printed directly on the operating fluid containers.
- When utilizing chemical products or maintenance sprays that emit harmful vapors or strong fumes, always perform the work outdoors or in a thoroughly ventilated, open workshop area.
NOTICE Always use strictly appropriate, manufacturer-approved operating fluids for your Seat Leon. Never confuse or cross-contaminate different operating fluids. Doing so can result in catastrophic mechanical malfunctions, component failure, and permanent engine damage!
For the sake of the environment
Accidental leaks or spills of automotive operating fluids can pollute and severely damage the surrounding natural environment. If any fluid leaks from your vehicle, capture and contain it using an appropriate drip pan, and dispose of the waste responsibly in strict compliance with local environmental regulations.
