- Anchor the other side of the partition net rod into the housing bracket on the opposite side 1 by pulling the rod slightly under tension.
The partition net is installed correctly when the T-shaped ends of the crossbar are firmly locked into their respective side housings 3 and 1.
Retracting the partition net
- Unhook the crossbar rod from side mounting housings 3 and 1.
- Roll the net smoothly back into its cassette casing 4, guiding it downward by hand to prevent whipping.
Removing the partition net
- Fold the split rear seat backrests forward to provide clear access.
- Press the left or right cassette release catch ››› Fig. 191 in the direction indicated by arrow 1.
- Lift and pull the casing out of its support brackets in the direction of arrow ››› Fig. 191 2.

WARNING
- Always secure all cargo items inside the trunk with straps, even when the safety partition net is correctly installed.
- No passengers or animals should ever be seated or positioned behind the erected partition net while the vehicle is in motion.
- The integrated fastening hooks located on the rear seat backrests must never be used to anchor the partition net when the seat backs are in their upright vertical driving position.
NOTICE Improper handling or snapping back of the partition net can cause permanent mechanical damage.
- Never let the partition net snap back uncontrolled when retracting it, as this can damage the mesh weave and vehicle interior parts. Always guide and roll down the partition net manually by hand.

Pulling out and securing the partition net

- Hook the partition net crossbar end into the roof side member housing on the right or left side ››› Fig. 193 3 (shown in detail magnified view).
- Pull the crossbar rod across and hook the opposite end into the roof side member housing on the other side ››› Fig. 193 1.
The safety partition net is assembled correctly when both T-shaped crossbar ends are firmly locked into their respective roof trim housings ››› Fig. 193 3 and 1.
Retracting the partition net
- Unhook both ends of the crossbar rod from the receiving housings located in the roof side member interior trims.
- Gently lower the partition net back down by hand, allowing it to roll completely into casing ››› Fig. 193 4.
Removing the partition net
- Pull the net casing sideways approximately 5 cm in the opposite direction of arrow ››› Fig. 192 2 to disengage the lock.
- Slide and lift the casing out of the seat-back mounting rails by pulling in the opposite direction of arrows ››› Fig. 192 1.
- Return and lock the rear seat backrests back into their upright vertical driving positions.
WARNING During sudden evasive maneuvers, heavy braking, or in a collision, loose cargo items carried in the extended load area can be thrown violently forward through the cabin, causing severe or fatal injuries to front occupants.
- Always lash down and secure heavy objects with retaining straps, even when the partition net is correctly installed.
- No occupants or pets should ever be positioned behind the assembled partition net while your Seat Leon is in motion.
WARNING Never attempt to lift or raise the rear seat backrests to their upright position until the partition net cassette has been fully disassembled and removed from the backrest rails.
NOTICE Improper handling or uncontrolled retraction of the partition net can cause physical damage to cabin components.
- Do not let go of the partition net while lowering it, as the snapping action could damage the net mechanism, headliner, or surrounding interior trim panels. Always guide the net down smoothly by hand.
