Seat Leon >> Applications (apps)
Through SEAT Full Link, the visual interface and operational features of both official SEAT applications and supported third-party smartphone apps installed on your mobile phone can be mirrored directly onto your Seat Leon infotainment screen.
When running third-party software, occasional compatibility issues or performance variations may occur depending on mobile operating system updates.
Certain applications, their operational features, and the necessary underlying mobile data connection may incur extra pay-per-use service fees from your cellular provider.
The roster of compatible applications can vary based on specific vehicle configurations, regional market software approvals, or country-specific store availability.
The functional scope, content volume, and updates provided by app developers and software companies remain subject to ongoing changes.
In addition, several active applications rely on continuous cloud connectivity and the availability of external third-party data servers.
It cannot be guaranteed that every application offered will function seamlessly across all mobile phone hardware models or across every mobile operating system build.
Applications provided directly by SEAT can be modified, suspended, updated, or temporarily deactivated without prior notice.
To minimize driver distraction and maintain highway safety standards, only officially certified applications can be opened on the central display while driving your Seat Leon.

Apple CarPlay
To establish a connection and operate Apple CarPlay inside your vehicle, the following prerequisites must be fulfilled:
- The connected iPhone must be compatible with Apple CarPlay integration.
- Siri voice control features must be enabled and active within the iPhone system settings.
- Apple CarPlay must be permitted to run without content restrictions or screen-time limitations on the iPhone.
- If Apple CarPlay Wireless is unavailable, the iPhone must be linked to the Seat Leon infotainment system via a physical USB connection. Only high-speed USB ports supporting active data transmission can process Apple CarPlay signals.
- The USB connection cable should be an original Apple cable or an officially certified MFi data cable.
For Apple CarPlay Wireless operation: both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi toggles must remain powered on within the iPhone settings.
Establish connection
When connecting an iPhone to your vehicle for the first time, follow the step-by-step setup prompts that appear on the central infotainment display and on the iPhone screen.
All technical and system requirements must be met before Apple CarPlay can launch.
To launch Apple CarPlay manually:
- Press MENU > Full Link on the display to open the main Full Link overview menu.
- Tap the Apple CarPlay button to initiate an active connection with your paired iPhone.
Disconnecting
- While in active Apple CarPlay mode, tap the
icon to exit back to the main Full Link selection menu. - Tap
to safely terminate the active smartphone connection.
The visual representation, shape, or placement of on-screen function buttons may vary depending on active app versions.
Special characteristics
While an Apple CarPlay session is active in your Seat Leon, the following operational characteristics apply:
- Standard Bluetooth audio or hands-free connections between the connected iPhone and the infotainment unit are suspended.
- Any pre-existing active Bluetooth connection with that iPhone is automatically interrupted upon CarPlay launch.
- Simultaneous navigation using both the factory built-in navigation system and an Apple CarPlay map application is not supported. Starting a route guidance session in one system automatically cancels any active route guidance in the other.
- Depending on your vehicle's specific digital dashboard layout, basic telephone metadata and incoming call status can be viewed directly on the instrument cluster display.
- Turn-by-turn navigation instructions originating from compatible CarPlay map apps can be displayed on the digital instrument cluster screen.
- You can answer, reject, or end phone calls using the controls located on the multifunction steering wheel.
Voice control
- Press the voice button
on the multifunction steering wheel briefly to activate the native Seat Leon infotainment voice system. - Press and hold this voice button to launch Siri voice control on your connected iPhone.
Note
- The regional availability of smartphone integration features depends on country specifications and local legal approvals.
- You can find comprehensive details regarding device compatibility, iPhone model support, approved application lists, and feature availability on the official SEAT website (www.seat.com), Apple's CarPlay portal, or by speaking with an authorized SEAT dealer.
