Seat Leon >> Introduction

With the advanced Full Link system integrated into your Seat Leon, it is possible to view, interact with, and operate the contents, apps, and functions shown on your compatible smartphone directly on the central infotainment touchscreen display.

To establish this connection, your mobile phone device can be linked to the Seat Leon infotainment system via a standard USB interface.

Certain smartphone projection technologies can also be utilized wirelessly via Wireless Full Link by leveraging the vehicle's Bluetooth interface and an active Wi-Fi connection.

The following technologies may be available:

  • Apple CarPlay
  • Apple CarPlay Wireless
  • Android Auto
  • Android Auto Wireless

The specific availability of the smartphone integration technologies included within the Full Link suite depends on your regional market specifications and the type of mobile phone device you are using.

You can find further detailed information regarding smartphone compatibility on the official SEAT website (www.seat.com).

Access the Full Link main menu

Navigating to and browsing the Full Link main menu varies slightly depending on the specific infotainment system version installed in your vehicle.

  • Press MENU > Full Link on your touchscreen.

Configure Wireless Full Link

In order to use Wireless Full Link successfully, you must first pair your mobile phone device with your Seat Leon infotainment system. To do this, proceed as follows when connecting a mobile phone device for the very first time:

  • Unlock your mobile phone device screen.
  • Enable both Wi-Fi reception and Bluetooth connectivity on your mobile phone.
  • Connect your mobile device to the Seat Leon infotainment system using a compatible USB data cable.
  • Access the Full Link main menu on screen if it does not pop up automatically.
  • Select your connected mobile device and choose your preferred smartphone integration technology from the menu.
  • Confirm all authorization inquiries and security prompts displayed on your mobile phone to grant the necessary permissions to the infotainment system.
  • Disconnect the physical USB cable and reconnect your phone to the infotainment system wirelessly via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Wireless Full Link is now fully configured.

The initial pairing procedure is now complete. The connected mobile phone device can utilize Wireless Full Link seamlessly from this point forward without needing a physical USB connection.

If any security pop-up menus or authorization prompts are rejected or dismissed during the connection process, Wireless Full Link will fail to function. In such instances, SEAT recommends deleting the paired device profiles from both your phone's Bluetooth settings and the infotainment system menu, and then restarting the entire connection process from scratch.

Bluetooth pairing

You can also connect your mobile device directly to the Seat Leon infotainment system via standard Bluetooth pairing.

If your device meets all system compatibility requirements, the infotainment screen will prompt you, letting you know that you can connect your device to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto as appropriate.

WARNING The use of smartphone applications while driving can easily distract your attention away from ongoing traffic conditions. Any driver distraction, regardless of its cause, can lead to a sudden accident and cause severe physical injuries.

  • Always drive with your full attention focused on road traffic and operate your Seat Leon in a responsible, attentive manner.

WARNING Using unsuitable, poorly coded, or improperly functioning applications can lead to vehicle software glitches, dangerous traffic accidents, and serious injuries.

  • Protect your mobile phone device and its installed applications from unauthorized or inappropriate use.
  • Never attempt to modify or tamper with mobile phone applications while connected to the car.
  • Always read and follow the instructions provided in the instruction manual of your mobile phone device.

NOTICE SEAT accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage caused to your Seat Leon resulting from the use of defective or low-quality mobile applications, inadequate app programming, poor cellular network coverage, data loss occurring during wireless transmission, or the improper operation of connected mobile devices.

Note

  • Wireless Full Link may not be fully compatible with all smartphone models or operating system versions.
  • When crossing international borders into countries where permitted radio frequencies differ from those in your home country, running the Full Link Wireless function may experience restrictions or become entirely unavailable due to local legal regulations.

This operational limitation may be indicated by a notification message on your Seat Leon infotainment screen. Running Full Link via a wired USB cable is unaffected by these regional frequency restrictions and can continue to be used normally.
