User role description

Both the owner of the vehicle and any authorized user with physical access to the car can order and activate SEAT CONNECT digital services for a specific Seat Leon.

Each vehicle supports a single designated primary user, an anonymous guest user profile, and up to 4 secondary or additional user profiles. The specific responsibilities and permissions for each role are outlined below:

• Primary user: A registered driver who completes the full vehicle pairing process by activating SEAT CONNECT services (using the two-key physical verification method or a dedicated pairing code). The primary user is the sole authorized account holder capable of making online purchases, including digital cellular data plans and add-on services, while enjoying full access to all vehicle features.
• Additional user: A user profile registered within the vehicle system who has not completed the full owner pairing sequence and is not designated as the primary user. Through the central infotainment display of your Seat Leon, an additional user can access most of the same onboard services as the main user, excluding features that require financial transactions or in-App mobile access.
• Secondary user: An additional user who has accepted an invitation from the primary user (sent via the vehicle user management menu in the mobile app) to become a secondary user. This granting of privileges unlocks access to the same service scope available to the primary user, with the exception of e-commerce purchases and security alert configurations.
• Guest user: An anonymous profile built into the vehicle system, active by default whenever you choose not to sign in as a primary or additional user. Selecting guest mode for the first time or switching to it from another account enables online data sharing so the car can receive remote software updates. If you prefer to disable this background data exchange, adjust your privacy configuration to "Offline Mode" (maximum privacy) within the settings menu.

Register for a SEAT CONNECT account, sign the service contract with SEAT, S.A., add your Seat Leon to your user profile, and follow the step-by-step guidance provided in the mobile app to set up your profile as either a primary user or an additional user.

Delete a user

To remove the main user profile from the car, perform a complete factory reset of the infotainment system. Additional users can be manually removed by the primary user through user management settings or can choose to delete their own account profile directly.

Note If the central infotainment system is reset to factory settings while operating in offline mode, the registered primary user profile cannot be automatically unlinked on the server side.
