Seat Leon >> Faults
Even if all operational prerequisites for using SEAT CONNECT digital services are completely met, external factors beyond the direct control of SEAT, S.A. may occasionally interfere with or temporarily prevent service execution. Specific technical reasons and environmental causes include:
- Scheduled maintenance, repair work, system deactivations, software deployment updates, or hardware capacity expansions carried out on telecommunications infrastructure, satellites, cloud servers, and data repositories.
- Modifications or downgrades to mobile network transmission standards performed by regional telecommunication network operators—for example, switching data connections from UMTS to legacy EDGE or GPRS standards.
- Complete decommissioning or shutdown of existing cellular network standards by telecommunication service providers.
- Signal interference, signal degradation, or transmission outages affecting cellular reception and GPS positioning caused by high-speed driving, intense solar flare activity, severe weather conditions, terrain topography, active signal jamming hardware, or heavy network congestion within local cellular towers.
- Driving through areas with zero or insufficient cellular coverage or weak satellite GPS signals, such as deep road tunnels, narrow urban canyons flanked by high-rise buildings, underground parking garages, underpasses, or remote mountain valleys.
- Incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate third-party data feeds, such as external map rendering services or live traffic incident reports.
- Traveling through countries or geographical regions where SEAT CONNECT online services are not supported or commercially offered.
