Become primary user

To establish yourself as the primary user and officially verify vehicle ownership of your Seat Leon, you must have both original physical remote keys present in the cabin. Ownership accreditation takes place inside the vehicle during the initial setup sequence, or, if you already hold an active SEAT CONNECT user account, by logging into the central infotainment system and accessing User Management.

• Switch on the vehicle ignition and power up the infotainment display.
• Log in or register your user credentials in the SEAT CONNECT portal directly on screen.

Or: open the user settings menu Users > Settings > Become primary user, and follow the on-screen instructions.

• Press the unlock button on the first physical vehicle remote key.
• Press the unlock button on the second physical vehicle remote key.

Once the central infotainment receiver finishes processing the radiofrequency signals transmitted by both key fobs, the ownership verification process for your Seat Leon is successfully completed.

How is ownership accredited?

Identity accreditation (SEAT Ident)

Identity accreditation must be fully completed before you can access and operate security-sensitive SEAT CONNECT features, such as the Remote Lock & Unlock function. This identity verification can be performed at an authorized SEAT dealership with guidance from a certified brand specialist, or independently online through the My SEAT App.
