Seat Leon >> Troubleshooting
Travel Assist is not available or does
not work as expected
The control lamp illuminates in yellow on the dash, accompanied by an explanatory diagnostic warning message displayed directly on the digital instrument cluster screen.
- There is an operational fault or obstruction affecting the radar or camera sensors. Review and check the underlying causes and corrective solutions detailed in the chapters covering Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Assist.
- A temporary electronic fault or system glitch has occurred. Switch off your Seat Leon engine completely and start it again after a brief pause to reset the control units.
- The physical or environmental operating limits of the semi-automated system have been exceeded.
- If the functional problem persists, consult an authorized specialized workshop for diagnosis. SEAT strongly recommends visiting an official SEAT dealership for expert service.
Grip the steering wheel
This advisory warning lamp lights up in white, followed immediately by an explicit text instruction shown on the digital instrument cluster display.
- You have removed your hands from the steering wheel rim for a few seconds.
Promptly place your hands back onto the steering wheel and resume active physical control of your Seat Leon.
Grip the steering wheel
This critical warning lamp illuminates in bright red, and an urgent alert message is shown on the instrument cluster display.
Depending on the urgency of the traffic situation, an insistent audio warning chime will sound, or the steering wheel rim will emit haptic vibrations.
- You have let go of the steering wheel for an extended duration, or the system has reached its operational boundaries. Immediately take hold of the steering wheel and resume complete manual control of the vehicle.
Travel Assist disconnects automatically
- A permanent or intermittent system fault has been registered. Switch off the engine and start it again after a short moment.
- If the issue continues without resolution, consult an authorized specialized workshop. SEAT recommends bringing your vehicle to an official SEAT dealership.
Regulation is interrupted unexpectedly
- On vehicles without lane departure warning: You have activated the directional turn signal indicator.
Assisted lane changing is interrupted
or unavailable
An informative notification message regarding the status change is shown on the digital instrument cluster display.
- The vehicle's optical cameras have temporarily stopped detecting clear lane boundary markings.
- You have let go of or loosened your grip on the steering wheel during the manoeuvre.
- You are applying excessive manual steering force or counter-steering torque against the system.
- You have toggled the turn signal lever repeatedly, or the stalk is stuck in a permanent position.
- Your current driving speed has dropped below approximately 65 km/h (40 mph).
- The vehicle's radar sensors have detected surrounding traffic or objects in the blind spot zone that prevent a safe assisted lane change.
- You are no longer driving on a qualifying multi-lane motorway or dual carriageway.
