Compatibility between vehicles and charging infrastructure

The standardized visual indicators established under the EN 17186 regulatory standard provide clear, instant information regarding whether a public or home charging station's connectors are fully compatible with your vehicle.

Indicators ››› Fig. 55

  1. Located on the vehicle
  2. Located at the charging station

Indicators ››› Fig. 56

  1. System voltage capacity up to 500 volts
  2. System voltage capacity up to 1000 volts

These compliance indicators are positioned clearly near the vehicle charging socket, on components of local charging hardware (such as public charging columns and wall outlets), and directly on charging cables. All symbols correspond strictly to established IEC 62196 connection interface standards.

WARNING Attempting to charge your Seat Leon at unverified, damaged, or non-standard electrical installations can result in severe personal injury, fire hazards, and catastrophic vehicle damage.

  • If compatibility indicators are missing from the charging station or if the electrical infrastructure is unknown, consult a qualified electrical installation expert before connecting your vehicle.
