If you intend to install a universal approval category (U) child safety seat in your Seat Leon, you must first verify that the specific seat model is officially certified as compatible with your vehicle.

You can find all required technical verification details printed directly on the child seat's orange ECE approval label.

The following reference table outlines the approved seating configurations:

a) Never use semi-universal restraint systems that rely on the vehicle seat belt combined with a floor support leg on the center rear seating position.

b) Slide the front passenger seat as far back from the airbag module housing as possible. Ensure that the upper belt guide mounting point of the vehicle's seat belt remains positioned behind the frame of the child seat.

c) For vehicle seats lacking height adjustment, slide them into their rearmost position. For seats equipped with height adjusters, position them in their rearmost and highest operating position.

• Position the standard vehicle seat belt and thread it through the designated belt guides on the child seat following the manufacturer's manual.
• Verify that the seat belt webbing is completely flat and free of twists.
• Insert the metal latch plate firmly into the seat buckle until you hear a distinct audible click confirming secure engagement.

WARNING During travel, children must always be secured in the vehicle using an appropriate restraint system matched to their age, weight, and physical height.

• Always read, understand, and strictly observe all safety information and warnings regarding the proper use of child seats.
