Seat Leon >> Warning and information messages

The onboard electronic system continuously runs automated diagnostic checks on key mechanical components and vehicle functions whenever the ignition is switched on and while your Seat Leon is in motion.

Any detected operating faults are presented on the digital instrument cluster display as distinct red or yellow warning symbols, accompanied by descriptive text messages and, depending on the severity of the issue, audible alert chimes.

The exact graphical layout and presentation of these warning messages and symbols may vary slightly depending on the specific software version of your instrument cluster.

You can also check for any existing faults manually at any time.

To do this, open the central Vehicle status menu.

Priority 1 red warning symbol indicating critical vehicle fault Priority 1 warning (in red)

The warning symbol lights up or flashes, frequently accompanied by urgent acoustic alerts. Stop driving immediately! This indicates extreme danger. Check the reported fault and eliminate the root cause before proceeding. If necessary, seek professional technical assistance.

Priority 2 yellow warning symbol indicating mechanical operating fault Priority 2 warning (in yellow)

The symbol lights up or flashes, occasionally accompanied by warning chimes. Operating faults, system errors, or depleted fluid levels can cause permanent damage to your Seat Leon. Inspect the faulty function as soon as possible and, if required, seek professional assistance.
