Seat Leon >> Coolant temperature indicator.
The dedicated coolant temperature view can be easily selected within the corresponding digital menu on your Seat Leon instrument cluster.
Control and warning lamps
Fault in the engine coolant
system
The warning LED flashes red.
Engine coolant
The warning lamp lights up red.
The motor coolant temperature is excessively high or the motor coolant fluid level has dropped too low.
Stop driving! Bring your Seat Leon to a safe halt at the first available opportunity in a secure location.- Switch off the engine completely and allow it to cool down properly.
- Check the fluid level in the coolant expansion tank under the bonnet.
If the warning lamp fails to extinguish even though the motor coolant level is verified as correct, do not continue driving or leave the engine running unattended.
Seek professional specialist assistance immediately.

The warning lamps flash red simultaneously.
Engine coolant
The lamp lights up red.
The engine or high-voltage system coolant level is too low, or the engine / high-voltage system coolant temperature is excessively high.
Stop driving! Stop your Seat Leon at the first opportunity in a secure place.- Switch off the engine and let the entire hybrid powertrain cool down.
- Check the coolant level in the standard engine coolant expansion tank.
- Check the coolant level in the high-voltage cooling circuit reservoir. If the fluid level is too low, DO NOT add coolant yourself. Seek professional specialist assistance immediately.
If the warning lamp remains lit even though the standard motor coolant level is correct, do not continue driving or leave the engine running.
Seek specialist assistance without delay.
NOTICE
- To ensure a long, reliable useful life for your Seat Leon engine, avoid high revs, driving at high speeds, and making the engine work under heavy loads for approximately the first 15 minutes when starting from cold. The engine's warming-up phase also depends heavily on outside ambient temperatures. If necessary, use the digital engine oil temperature gauge as a reliable guide.
- The cooling system's overall thermal capacity is significantly reduced if any mounted accessory restricts the front air inlet or could potentially damage any cooling-system component.
Seek specialist assistance if airflow is obstructed.
