End-of-life return

When your vehicle reaches the end of its operational lifecycle, it must be recycled and processed in an environmentally responsible manner. To support sustainable waste management, final vehicle owners across the European Union and numerous other international jurisdictions are required by law to surrender their end-of-life vehicle to an authorized treatment facility, certified collection point, or licensed dismantling yard.

SEAT has established comprehensive infrastructure to facilitate this process, establishing an extensive network of accredited vehicle return centers across the EU and participating countries where you can drop off your vehicle. Provided all national legal preconditions are met, you can return your end-of-life vehicle free of charge through this authorized network.

Upon surrendering the vehicle, the authorized return facility issues an official certificate of destruction (recycling certificate), which serves as formal legal proof that the vehicle has been decommissioned and recycled in compliance with environmental regulations.

Detailed information regarding the location and contact details of accredited Vehicle Return Centres can be obtained from your local SEAT dealer.

Scrapping

Strict safety procedures and technical precautions must be followed whenever scrapping a complete vehicle or dismantling individual high-risk assemblies, such as pyrotechnic airbag modules and seatbelt pre-tensioner units. Certified specialized workshops are fully trained in these hazardous material procedures and safety regulations. SEAT recommends relying on an authorized SEAT dealer to handle vehicle disposal.
