Seat Leon >> Parking ventilation

The passenger cabin interior can be ventilated while stationary using the built-in parking ventilation feature (depending on your model's equipment level).

The electrical energy needed to run the blower fan for parking ventilation is supplied directly by the vehicle's standard 12V onboard battery.

You can conveniently control and configure the parking ventilation features remotely using the dedicated My SEAT App on your mobile device.

Switching on the stationary ventilation

The parking ventilation function can be activated using the following methods:

  • The parking ventilation can be started immediately on demand using the instant on/off toggle button within the app.
  • By programming a specific departure time in advance through the vehicle settings or smartphone app interface.

In the event of a low state of charge in the 12V battery, the parking ventilation system will automatically refuse to turn on to preserve sufficient engine cranking power.

Disconnecting parking ventilation

The stationary parking ventilation sequence will automatically shut down in the following circumstances:

  • When the preconfigured maximum run time for immediate activation mode has elapsed.
  • When you manually switch off the parking ventilation function using the immediate on/off control in the My SEAT App.
  • When the scheduled departure time programmed by the user has been reached.

The maximum continuous operating duration for a single parking ventilation cycle is capped at 30 minutes.

Programming a departure/trip start

Setting up parking ventilation for a planned departure time applies strictly to a single ventilation cycle. You must explicitly configure a new departure time for each subsequent trip where pre-ventilation is required.

Before setting a scheduled departure time, ensure that the internal clock and date settings in your Seat Leon infotainment system are accurately configured.

When a departure time is saved, the vehicle's control system automatically calculates the optimum start time and necessary operating duration for the parking ventilation based on current ambient thermal conditions.

NOTICE Perishable foods, sensitive medicines, and other delicate cargo exposed to continuous forced air from the HVAC system may spoil or sustain damage from temperature changes.

  • Never place food items, medical supplies, or other temperature-sensitive belongings directly in front of the interior air vents.

Note If you utilize the stationary parking ventilation repeatedly for extended periods while parked, the 12V battery charge level will decrease gradually. It is recommended to drive your Seat Leon for a longer distance after frequent parking ventilation use to allow the alternator to fully recharge the battery.
