Seat Leon >> Headlight range control

Dynamic headlight range control (valid for vehicles fitted with High headlights)

For vehicles equipped with high-spec LED headlights, the beam throw angle is automatically adjusted by dynamic level sensors according to current vehicle loading conditions as soon as the headlights turn on.

Manual headlight range adjustment (valid for vehicles fitted with ECO Led headlights)

The manual headlight range adjustment system adapts the inclination of the dipped beam headlights to match the physical load inside your Seat Leon.

Proper adjustment ensures optimal road surface illumination for the driver without blinding oncoming traffic.

The vertical beam range can be adjusted directly through the vehicle menu on the touchscreen display.

  • Select Seat Leon infotainment vehicle settings menu icon for headlight range adjustment > Vehicle > Headlights to open the Headlight range control setup menu.
  • Select the appropriate adjustment level matching your current passenger and luggage payload.

Levels:

0 Two front seat occupants with an empty luggage compartment.

1 All passenger seats occupied with an empty luggage compartment.

2 All passenger seats occupied and the luggage compartment fully loaded.

3 Driver only with the luggage compartment fully loaded.

WARNING If the automatic dynamic headlight range control system suffers a fault or fails to operate correctly, the headlamps may point too high, causing glare that dazzles other road users.

This loss of vertical beam control can create hazardous driving situations and cause collisions.

  • Visit a qualified specialist workshop immediately to have the headlight range adjustment system inspected and repaired.
