Seat Leon >> Introduction
The central locking system of your Seat Leon functions correctly only when all passenger doors and the rear luggage lid are completely and securely shut. If the driver's door remains open, the vehicle cannot be locked externally with the remote key.
WARNING The improper or careless use of the central locking system may result in serious personal injuries.
- The central locking system will securely lock all
vehicle doors simultaneously. A vehicle locked from the inside can
prevent any unauthorised individual from
opening the doors and accessing the interior.
Nevertheless, in the event of a sudden emergency or severe accident, fully locked doors can significantly complicate physical access to the vehicle interior by rescue workers trying to help trapped passengers.
- Never leave children or disabled persons unattended or alone inside the vehicle. The interior central locking button can be used by passengers to lock all doors from within, meaning occupants can be accidentally locked inside the vehicle. Individuals locked in a confined vehicle space can be exposed to very high or dangerously low ambient temperatures.
- Depending on the seasonal weather and time of the year, temperatures inside a locked and closed vehicle can climb or drop to extremely dangerous levels, resulting in serious injuries, sudden illness, or even death, particularly for infants and young children.
- Never leave vulnerable individuals locked inside a closed and secured vehicle. In case of an emergency situation, they may not possess the physical ability to exit the vehicle by themselves or summon outside help.
