Removing and installing rear vent air duct

Removal:

  • Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.

Vehicles without access and start authorisation system

  • Remove ignition key, if fitted.

Vehicles with access and start authorisation system

  • Store ignition key outside the vehicle to prevent the ignition from being switched on unintentionally.

Continued for all vehicles

  • Remove trim with vent.
  • Detach the air duct -1- to the rear.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Air conditioning system

Removal:

  • Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.

Vehicles without access and start authorisation system

  • Remove ignition key, if fitted.

Vehicles with access and start authorisation system

  • Store ignition key outside the vehicle to prevent the ignition from being switched on unintentionally.

Continued for all vehicles

  • Disconnect battery.
  • Remove the centre console.
  • Swivel the air duct -1- upwards at the rear -arrow A-, release it from the fastener at the air distribution housing -2- -arrow B- and detach.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
